Happy Friday, 4 Paws Forever! I wanted to say a huge "thank you" to you for the work you do. I had to put my furry son, Ku, down 2 weeks ago and while coping with life without him has been difficult and painful to say the least, I have been comforted by reflecting on the wonderful memories he gave me over 14 years. I love looking at all my photos of him and laughing about the fun times we had. I was delighted to receive a beautiful custom photo frame from your company today (via a very dear friend). Everything from the gorgeous packaging, hand-written card, lovely words, and adorable frame was 1st class. Receiving your package in the mail was a very bright spot in what has been a very dark time. Your work is incredible, but it is your story and mission that really tugged at my heart strings. You will be my first thought for any pet-related gift going forward. I am so glad I have been introduced to you!

I have attached one of my favorite pictures of my Ku that I will be placing in my new frame. Ku loved to watch football with his mommy and daddy and as you can see, being a Colorado kitty, loved his Coors as well! :) He was quite the cat and I look forward to being able to have this picture in a beautiful frame forever. I just wanted to thank those at 4 Paws Forever for all the great work you do and for the wonderful jewelery pieces you create in an effort to help people like me remember and memorialize their pets.

I lost my most loved Leon in November of last year. He suffered from Degenerative Myleopathy but battled so vehemently for almost a year after his diagnosis. I believe everyone should have at least one pet in their life like Leon; a loyal companion and a best friend. He was a once in a lifetime dog and I was lucky to have him in my life for the past 8 years. When he died, I was devastated. It was such a painful experience. However, after finding your site, and seeing what 4 Paws Forever had to offer, I purchased the tear drop keepsake necklace to hold a small amount of his ashes. I received the necklace a few months ago, with his name engraved on the side, and it has actually helped me so much towards healing my pain and sorrow. I am able now to carry a bit of this wonderful creature with me and that in itself is cathartic and healing.

The necklace is absolutely beautiful and the only one I found worthy of my Leon. It surpassed my expectations in its uniqueness, its simplicity and its quality.

You all do such good work and I wanted to say thank you for being yet another puzzle piece in my journey with Leon and even though the journey has ended, I will be able to remember him through the work and the art you created. Thank you so much for helping me.

I never gave you the background on Henry so I thought I would share it with you.

Our dogs were out one day playing in the field and started barking around one spot. So my husband went out to see what was going on and they had alerted us to a dog laying in the field with no movement. We scooped him up and took him to the vet. He was near death. He was one of many abandoned hounds that we rescue in our area as well as pitbulls and any other dog. We aren't particular : )

Anyway, we found Henry in the nick of time. He stayed almost one week at the vet on IVs pushing antibiotics and nutrition. We brought him home and thought it might be difficult since he had surely never been in a home. He was still very weak so we took him in our bedroom where we had made a quite spot for him. We have a doggie door that goes out to a fenced in area that all our other dogs use. I suspected Henry would have many accidents not being accustomed to being indoors. Don't you know he never had one accident. When he got up and started getting around he quickly picked up the routine from our other dogs. He LOVED to run which prompted us to put up a 1 acre fenced in area for him to run freely and safely. We posted him on our website and waited for the right parents. A little less than one year passed when Lynn and David called. They live in NJ which made the logistics more complicated but we found a meeting place and it was love at first sight. We couldn't have hand picked better parents for him. They gave him a wonderful loving home.

Hope you don't mind the lengthy email but I wanted to pass on the story of Henry. All the dogs we rescue are special but sometimes the ones that take so much TLC finds a deeper place in your heart. It's very difficult parting with them. We had given Henry the nickname "Mr. H".

I adopted Emma, my chocolate Lab, in January 2000, when she was 18 months old. Since that day, she was my constant companion. She helped me through sad times - a divorce, a move to a new state where I knew no one, my father's passing - and happy times, like my marriage to my current husband. Through it all, she provided hugs, kisses and whatever else I needed, all with grace and a touch of stubbornness. She sailed through some daunting illnesses, and always came out more feisty than she went in. She fought the good fight, but in the end, it was her time to go. She was my special little old lady. I lost her in late November 2011 (at the age of 13.5 years), and know I will always miss her. The hole left in my heart won't heal, but being able to wear her pawprints (in my ring and earrings) will keep her close to me, where she belongs. Thank you for the beautiful work, and the fast turnaround - it will be wonderful to have her with me on Christmas.

In Nov of this year I lost my companion of 18 years. Daisy my Dachshund Chihuahua mix was my 24 hour 7 day a week helper.

For 17 of the 18 years I had Daisy she accompanied me to work every day. I was a manager of a large equine boarding facility in Salinas California. Daisy came with me everywhere I went always alert to let me know if anything should be brought to my attention.

Daisy was an accomplished ratter as well as official ground squirrel population controller. My job entailed being at the equine facility 7 days a week early in the morning and often times late into the evenings. Many times I would have horses that were injured or ill that would need to be checked on at all times of the night or early morning, Daisy acted as my body guard always being the one that insisted on checking out the immediate surrounding area before allowing me to proceed. If someone was approaching Daisy would make it known I was well guarded and words of welcome would have to be spoken before she would stand down.

Daisy was at my side in sickness and in health. When I almost lost my life in Dec of 2006 Daisy all but brought my medication to me. She was always at my side day and night making it her life's duty to watch over me reminding me constantly I was the center of her world. When the morning came that Daisy was having an unexpected attack of some sort I rushed her to the hospital telling the staff there to please save her life. There was nothing they could do, old age had reared its ugly head and Daisy's death was not going to be able to be avoided. I held her in my arms and looked into her beautiful eyes knowing I had to make the final decision so as not to prolong her pain. She died in my arms with my words of endearment in her ears as she passed from this world. Daisy's loss has created a huge void in my life, the grief has been overwhelming. I had not been even to function without breaking down in tears of grief.

My daughter Wendy in Reno NV called me multiple times a day to check in with me knowing that my sadness seemed only to be building with everyday that passed. On Friday afternoon I received a package, as I opened it , it was obvious that it had been packaged with love. There was a card with a picture of Daisy on sitting in my truck ready for work. Inside the card created by 4 Paws Forever was the most beautiful flowing script I have ever seen with a personal message to me from my daughter. 4 Paws Forever made it possible for a tree to be planted in a national park in Daisies honor, a tribute to her contribution on this earth and her love and loyalty to my life. Nestled in the package was a custom made frame with a picture of myself and Daisy giving me a kiss. I remembered when my daughter took that picture and how I had grumbled about how I didn't like my picture taken. My daughter had said "Mom I'm not taking a picture of you I'm taking a picture of Daisy." How grateful I am now that , that moment was captured.

Daisy's name is on the top of that frame and paw prints go up each side and at the bottom of the frame a beautiful saying is displayed all the custom work of 4 Paws Forever. The gratitude and solace spread over my heart no words can ever express.

The work that 4 Paws Forever does is a service beyond kindness and caring for those that lose their beloved pet companions it is a mission of love for the humans that are left behind.

For the first time since the morning I lost my beloved girl I feel as though a healing balm has been placed upon my grieving heart.

Although my sadness and loss is still fresh the soothing reminder that Daisy's presence in my life gave so much more happiness and fun than I can ever measure those memories are still alive.

I received my pendant and chain today. I love it and can't thank you enough for the card with Mandy's picture and the lovely, thoughtful packaging. In 1995, I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. I had become extremely ill and although I was relieved to find out that I didn't have a more deadly disease; I found it difficult to learn how to adjust my diet to my new, lifesaving gluten-free regimin at a time when very little was known about the disease and gluten-free foods were practically nonexistent unless you prepared everything yourself from scratch. I was teaching middle school at the time and one of my 8th grade students suggested that I do some research on the Internet. This student set up an account for me and actually walked me through the process of logging in and using what was a text-based, bare bones version of the Internet compared to what users see today. I not only learned how to manage my illness and food, I also found a puppy on the local bulletin board. That puppy was Mandy. She was from a litter of two. The owner was keeping the other puppy - her sister, Stormy. The owner was caring but was not a very diligent pet owner. By the time Mandy was old enough to go home, she was bald from fleas and riddled with worms. We never received her papers which I always suspected were nonexistent; however, it didn't matter because my whole family fell in love with this sweet little girl who didn't bark, never snapped, growled or destroyed anything other than her own toys. The only things she didn't like were crickets which she would sneak up upon and thump and squirrels as she felt they had no business in her yard. We miss her terribly. She was my best friend and I have a giant hole in my heart without her. Sadly, my student, Shawn, who so kindly and generously helped me 17 years ago is also deceased. Hopefully, he will take care of Mandy until we meet again in another life.

I love them both, the pendant is as cute, sweet and adorable as Gingko was and represent her and her character (the diamond in yellow gold setting - Sparkling character and how strong she was) as the best.

The gold paws are also so sweeeet! I now have a memory from her which no one could give me in this way. Gingko passed away after she lost the battle against cancer, I had to let her go, she was only 9 years old I miss her very much but the pendant and bead are giving me comfort. I have attached a photo of Goblin for your stories page. He was my baby that I got when I was in 3rd grade and sadly only lived to be 11 years old, just a few weeks shy of his 12th birthday. He died of cancer. He will be forever missed.

Lilly was my husband's constant companion for 15 years and she graciously welcomed me into her life eight years ago when I began dating her 'buddy'. I just received my paw charms today and I am so happy they made me cry. My 2 beloved Dobie sisters can now be with me forever. When my girl Lulu got diagnosed with cancer a few weeks ago I was just devastated and I tried to find something that would help me keep a part of her with me forever and her paw print is the perfect thing. I have already added the charms to my bracelet and I can't stop looking at them! I just opened my box and I'm speechless! The tear drop is so much more beautiful in person than I ever imagined. I had the pleasure of speaking with you on the phone last week concerning my order for the wind chimes for my friend & neighbor Elizabeth -- to honor the memory of Squeakee's recent passing. Elizabeth kept everything in tact until I arrived home from work so that I could experience the "unveiling", just as she had. We shed a few more tears together...... Since we share the same porch, she positioned the wind chimes near both our windows and every now and then, I hear them chime from my kitchen and I say "Hello, Squeakee"! My custom paw print pendent is absolutely perfect... It's a piece of Gracie with me, always. Gracie was my heart dog and constant companion for 13 years 5 months and 18 days. She was the epitome of a Newfoundland, a true gentle giant with a beautiful soul. Koda was born in July 2004 and we got him September 2004. We didn't really choose him, he chose us. He watched us when we were looking at his brother and sisters and when he was ready he came up to me. It must have been nap time or it was because it was starting to rain but they went into their big dog house. When I said Koda he was the only one that stood in the middle of the door way looking at me. It was like he was saying, are you kidding me, it's raining"... From then on he has changed my life.

Koda is not an amazing dog to anyone else but Mike and I. He has never saved a life or anything like that but he has changed my perspective on life and what's important. So in a way I guess he has saved a life.. Mine.

I will always be greatful for everything he has givin me in more ways then one. We will always be side by side. I love you Koda Bear and we miss you.

The beads arrived today, they are wonderful and exactly what I wanted! I can't thank you enough for the beautiful work, the caring attitude, and the efficient service. When I told my husband of my idea for a Paw Print bracelet for our 30th wedding anniversary, he thought I was crazy. I looked at jewelry stores and various web sites. I knew the instant I saw your web site that it would be the ideal gift to celebrate our first 30 years together. When we first married, we were lucky to get 2 Shi Tsu/Llhasa male litter mates. My husband's favorite actor is Humphrey Bogart, so the 1st dog was named Bogart. His brother had 4 white paws, therefore named Spats for the "spats" footwear worn by George Raft. Our next dog Sidney (for Sidney Greenstreet) found us after literally being kicked out of his home. The list, Pete,Liz, Maddy, Betty, and Humphrey, and stories continue and we've been blessed with our eight 4 legged children.

I received my toggle bracelet with heart pendant yesterday and I just want to tell you it took my breath away! I actually cried! The pictures on the website don't do it justice. I could not believe how beautiful it was and the incredible quality of the piece. It was much bigger and thicker than I expected, I was truly impressed. But aside from this bracelet being a beautiful piece of art, it means the world to me because of who it represents. My Murphy has been my best friend for 14 years and he has not been doing so well lately.
